Mother's Day Out Program - Goodlettsville Cumberland Presbyterian Church
POLICIES & PROCEDURES

The GCPC Mother's Day Out goal is to be a nurturing, Biblically-based, safe environment, where kids can mature and have fun at the same time.

PAYMENT POLICY
Payments for GCPC MDO are due on the first of each month.  If your child is absent, there will be no allowance for make-up days and you are still responsible for the full tuition.

Registration/Supply Fee - $35.00 (due at registration and once a year)
Tuition Fee - $16.00 per day (due at the beginning of every month*)
Late Payment Fee - $10.00 late fee when payment is received 5 days
                                after the scheduled payment date.
Return Check Fee - $40.00 return check fee if your check is returned.

*Please be as prompt as possible as it makes it very hard on our bookkeeper if not and also your tuition is used for teacher salaries, supplies, etc.

CALENDAR
We are basically a year-round program! We generally take a week off around July 4th, Thanksgiving Day and a few days before Christmas Break.

SIGN-IN & SIGN-OUT
Each child must be signed in every morning in the classroom.  An approved adult must sign out your child in the classroom before the child leaves the premises.  This is state law.

Pick-up Policy - MDO ends promptly at 2:00.  Starting at 2:05, we will charge a fee of $1.00 per minute for every minute a child stays in the facility.

DISMISSAL AUTHORIZATION
Please inform us with a note or phone call if there will be someone other than those you originally authorized picking up your child.  The authorized person must be over 18 years of age and present a photo I.D.  Please remember that your child must be signed in and out each day.

WHAT TO BRING
You will need to bring lunch, with a drink.  Nap mat or blanket. Pillow is optional.  Change of clothes suitable for the season including socks in a Ziploc bag with child's name on it.  Mats and blankets will need to be taken home the last day of the month for laundering.  Morning snacks will be provided by GCPC MDO.

ILLNESS
If your child has diarrhea, vomiting or a fever in the evening or during the night, he/she may not attend MDO until they are symptom-free for 24 hours. The same applies for children sent home from MDO with any of the above symptoms. If a child becomes ill during the day, his/her parent will be called to come and take him/her home.  We would appreciate a phone call when your child is going to be absent.  Also, please let us know if your child has a communicable disease.

CHANGE IN CONTACT INFORMATION
Parents are to notify your child's teacher if there is a change in work or home phone numbers in order to be reached in an emergency.

DRESS CODE
No open toed shoes, sandals, jellies or cowboy boots are permitted.  Little toes are easily hurt and children have a difficult time on the playground.  We also prefer that children do not wear jewelry.

BIRTHDAYS
Your child may bring cupcakes or cookies to share with their class.  Please notify your teacher in advance so that they can make the day special.

PARKING
Please use caution when driving through our parking lot.  The north and south lots are available for you to park and walk your children to their classroom.  You will be responsible to sign your child(ren) in and out of the classroom.  Our class sessions start promptly at 9:00 a.m.  It is important that your child not be late.

SNOW-DAY PROCEDURES
We will follow the school closings and weather advisories for Sumner County.   In case of tornadoes, the MDO students will be kept in the facility on lock-down until the advisory has been lifted.  Parents are welcome to join their children in the facility, but will not be let out until the emergency has passed.

LOST & FOUND
Please mark all items of personal property.  We will make every attempt to locate and return any lost items.  This task is much easier if your child's name is on the items.  We cannot be responsible for any personal items that your child may bring to school, therefore we suggest they not bring personal items with them.

REGISTRATION PAPERWORK
In an effort to save time, you may click on the links below, print and complete the paperwork that will be needed at the time of registration.

The Medical Consent Form must be notarized.  Our church secretary is a notary, but you may have it notarized elsewhere if it is more convenient for you.
